Amenities
Canine Country Resort—unparalleled accommodations, a unique rural setting with uncompromising care and a compassionate staff second to none.
Services
Canine Country Resort is a luxury boarding facility for dogs. It is unlike any other kennel in the Tri-state area. In fact, it’s not a kennel at all! Dogs stay in downsized horse stalls, meaning each dog has his or her own 'bedroom'!
Accommodations feature:.png)
- Radiant heat to keep the floor warm in the winter
- Air conditioning for those hot summer days
- A generator to keep the Bunkhouse running in case of emergencies
- Automatic water bowls ensure your pet always has a fresh supply of water
- Dogs that cannot reach the water bowl are given a bowl on the floor and the CCR staff is very conscientious in making sure they are always full
- A wrought iron bed frame for cushions and beds or a comfy Pet Cot
- A view of a television — everyone needs their Animal Planet or Lifetime movies
- Plenty of visibility — pups can easily look through the front of their stall to see what is going on. The super-curious ones can hop up on the knee wall to sniff neighbors or see what’s happening at the end of the hall.
During his or her stay, your dog will enjoy:
- Personal walks down our trail and around the property at least four times a day
- Play groups with compatible dogs for romping, wrestling, and fetch (supervised and entertained by a CCR staff member at all times, of course). There are plenty of toys, plenty of room to romp, and lots of playmates. One of our pens is lined with Astroturf to allow for rainy-day playtimes without mud!
- Any dogs that prefer a solo play session get plenty of time in the pen to play fetch, or just get belly-rubs and enjoy the fresh air.
- Daily housekeeping - the CCR "maids" change bedding, refresh water bowls, vacuum, mop, and dust stalls on a daily basis
- Standard two-meal a day feeding. Breakfast is around 8:30AM, dinner is served at 4:30PM. Most dogs readily adjust to this schedule. If your dog is used to 'grazing' and snacking, we can free feed them, leaving a bowl of food out all day and refreshing it at mealtimes. Also, growing puppies may need lunch. Let us know, and we'll make sure your puppy's tummy doesn't growl :)
- Brushing, bathing, nail clipping, and ear cleaning come complimentary with any one-week stay. If you’d like, you can request a bath. Time permitting, we'd be happy to scrub your pup. (We will not send home a muddy pup, if your dog is filthy dirty and has a stay of less than a week we will definitely wash them before they come home!) When you come to pick up your dog (or we drop him or her off to you) you’ll be met with a happy, squeaky clean dog.
