It is no difficult feat to walk, feed, and house a dog. However, at Canine Country Resort, taking care of your dog is our passion. Dogs are not just walked; they are exercised and talked to (really! Dogs make the best listeners!) We don't just toss them a bowl of kibble, each meal is individually prepared, taking into consideration the activity level of the day as well as any dietary needs. CCR dogs have comfy, cozy quarters (a far cry from a crate!); a place to call home while they are away from home.
Everyone on the CCR staff is personally invested in each and every dog we care for (there are celebrations when reservations are made; we're always happy when our friends are coming to visit!). Our passion makes the difference. Every dog goes home a happy dog, maybe even happier than when they came! The CCR staff is a group of fetch-playing experts, doggie gourmets and surrogate moms for all fur-children.
Even frequent-flying dogs that come to stay all the time may have some anxiety. That is why we stick to a set schedule. Dogs find comfort in structure, knowing what will come next, that there will be another meal, another playgroup, and perhaps more importantly, another belly rub and Milkbone. We are happy to fit in extra walks for puppies or extra-long playgroups for the super-exuberant (namely, Portuguese Water Dog, and Energizer-Hudson!)
